Management Announces Equality
Celebration
to Mark One-Year Anniversary
of the
Historic Marriage Equality Law
Event to
raise money for the Pride Center of the Capital Region
and the AIDS Council of NENY
ALBANY – White
Management announces a fundraising event to be held at Creo’ on Sunday, June
24, 2012, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the signing of the
Marriage Equality Act. 20% of all sales
during the Sunday brunch, 10am to 4pm, will be donated to The Pride Center of
the Capital Region and the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York (NENY).
“We are looking
forward to celebrating the one year anniversary of this landmark legislation in
New York State,” said Brian White, Vice President, of White Management. “This is, and always was, an issue of equality
in our state. We commend those elected
officials who consistently supported this legislation and we remember those who
cast aside rigid and fading biases and fulfilled their obligation to treat each
New Yorker, equally.”
Sunday Brunch at
Creo’ provides a wide ranging menu including:
traditional breakfast plates, Stuffed French Toast, Chicken Fried Steak,
Lobster Roll and Crispy Goat Cheese & Beet, among many others.
“These are two
wonderful non-profit organizations and we are excited to be working with them
to help raise money for the important work they do,” said Paul McCullough,
General Manager at Creo’.
In April, Creo’
was one of the dozens of restaurants, from Columbia County to the Canadian
border, which participated in the 9th Annual Dining Out For Life
event, to benefit the AIDS Council of NENY.
Through a large number of guests, the additional donations guests made
and a donation from White Management, the money raised that night at Creo’
proved to be a record breaking increase from last year.
“We are honored
to have the White family as dear friends and we truly appreciate their
generosity,” said Anthony P. Carona, J.D., Event Ambassador and local Philanthropist. “Through this event we will not only be able
to raise awareness but just as importantly, we are given the opportunity to
raise money in a difficult economic environment.”
