Anthony Carona Joins The Business Council as Director of Executive Services

ALBANY—Heather Briccetti, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. today announced the appointment of Anthony P. Carona as Director of Executive Services. Carona will serve The Business Council, the Office of the President, and its members in furthering their mission to create economic growth, good jobs and strong communities across New York State.

The Business Council looks forward to sharing the many areas of expertise Anthony brings with our current members and to leverage his knowledge to enhance future membership expansion initiatives.”
Carona received his BA from Siena College in Political Science while working within the Town of Colonie Attorney’s Office. Carona went on to attend Albany Law School where he earned his J.D. while participating in the Domestic Violence Prosecution Unit Project during which he worked within the chambers of the New York State Supreme Court under the Hon. James Canfield. Additionally, Carona became a certified New York State mediator focusing on alternative dispute resolution statewide. Carona continued academic advancement through his certification by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research under President William T. Hold, Ph.D,CIC,CPCU,CLU.
Through active involvement with New York State based non-profit organizations such as the New York State Alliance for Donation, New York State Association of Retarded Citizens, Senior Services Centers, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Albany Center Gallery and Aids Council of Northeastern New York, Carona has raised awareness for missions and crucial funding for this segment of New York State businesses.
Carona has provided public relations, human resources, financial development and profit management services for private sector businesses such as Persico Oil Corporation where he served as Director of Operations and The Casswood Agency Ltd., during which he served as Director of National Accounts.
Carona is a long-term resident of Slingerlands, New York where he continues to be an active community member.
