Thanks to Capital News 9 for a positive yet objective report. I'm a Smart owner and agree that I feel safer in it than some other larger vehicles. I've already avoided four accidents because of its size and handling capabilities. Just last week I almost got rear-ended by a full size pickup doing 40mph, with me stopped to turn left. About 10 feet behind me, the truck swerved right, missing me by inches, and jumped a curb. A wider car would not have allowed the gap he needed to evade. A longer car would have been farther back in traffic. Small target = safer by avoidance in some cases.
